Dear Lisa,

Andy first met you and Jeanine in early January of this year.  Our dog, Andy, had recently been moved down from New England and was a bit “wound-up” over her new surroundings.  You might recall that Andy took a bit of time to get used to you both – there was a bit of barking, some nervous shuffling if you made eye contact and I’m pretty certain she shied away from any attempts to be touched.

Thankfully, Andy soon recognized a gentle and dog-loving soul in Jeanine and by the end of the visit Jeanine passed what we call the “Andy Comfort Test”.
Jeanine has been prompt and timely with every visit.  Her notes are detailed and hit upon all the right items that a couple of nervous, “new-to-the-area” dog owners would want to know about their precious pet.  She spends time with her on each visit – sometimes outside playing, sometimes inside cuddling on the couch (Andy’s favorite).  We have always come home to a happy dog with a full water dish and no messes – what more can you ask for as a pet owner?

Moving to a new area can always be stressful and hectic.  We can say very honestly that “discovering” Distinctive Pet Sitting has been a huge weight off of our shoulders and we (and Andy!) couldn’t be happier with her.
Thank you both,
  Melissa

Amy is the best!
I am so glad I found Distinctive Petsitting! Having a petsitter come stay with my 2 cats while my husband and i are out of town is a tremendous alternative to boarding.
Lisa, the owner, is thorough and trustworthy.  And Amy, the particular petsitter we've used, is a miracle worker. My cat Jackson normally hisses at everyone except my husband and me, but he warmed up to Amy right away. Now he LOVES her.  I would recommend Distinctive Petsitting (and Amy in particular) to anyone and everyone, without reservation.

Dear Lisa,

I am delighted to hear that you have established your Petsitting business in the Atlanta area.  There is no doubt that your prior successes and vast experience will be a welcome addition not only to the business community in your area, but also to your clients and their pets’ well being.

I cannot believe that it has been 13 years since we have met.  When we moved to VA,  we had such a hectic schedule and we were very concerned about Joey and KD being left alone.  We felt that our Maltese were exceptionally spoiled and that no one could possibly take care of them as well we did.  Not only did you surprise us with your attention to detail for their two daily walks, but Joey and KD seemed to expect us to give them as much attention and play time as you did when we got home every evening.

I know that we were very anxious the first time we traveled and had arranged for you stay at our home.  We probably called you every day to see how the dogs were doing.  We were so relieved to find out how well they adjusted.  Looking back, we could never understand why it was so easy for you to feed them and give them all their special medicines, when we always struggled with that.  We weren’t sure if it was your special touch, or if the dogs just looked forward to us leaving so they could be truly pampered by you!  We had so many trips that I cannot even count the times that you stayed at our home.

On a personal level, we are pleased that our relationship has turned into such a warm friendship.  The level of trust that we have with you for taking such good care of our home and our dogs is so much appreciated.  When we had our second home in Rehoboth Beach, and now Florida, we never dreamed that you would be willing to fly in to sit with the dogs while we traveled. And now that we only have KD, who is in need of so much special medical attention, we know that she loves seeing you every time we travel.  Who knew that she would love sitting on the dock watching the sunset?

We wish you every success in your business in Atlanta.  We just hope that you will still have time to pet sit for us when we go away.  Without hesitation we would highly recommend your services.  Please feel free to share this letter with any of your clients.  If any of your clients want to call us for a reference, we are definitely willing to speak with them.

Warmest regards,

Daniel

Hi Lisa,

I just wanted to thank you for doing such a terrific job caring for Buster and Baloo in our absence.  I could tell from your notes that you really got to know our pets and that you took wonderful care of them.  I was reading your notes to our children and they both commented that you really love our pets!

Anyway, thanks again for a job well done!

Take care,
Christina

Hey Kaki

These are pics from Bruno's dog sitter.

Can you
imagine she took pics?  She also left a note each day about what she and Bruno did together.

She is so great!   What an example of doing your job with excellence!

Ann

My 11-year-old cat, Sierra, is so precious to me.  We’ve shared an amazing life together, and she has been such a trouper through some physical ailments throughout the years.  She’s had back surgery, has an enlarged heart, and has recently been diagnosed with Diabetes which requires 2 insulin shots each day.  Unfortunately, Sierra can be difficult with strangers.  With no one to share the responsibility, the challenge of being tied to home at 6:00am and 6:00pm every day was daunting.

I was delighted to find Lisa Howard’s Distinctive Petsitting company.  Lisa was so personable on our first phone conversation she put me immediately at ease.  My priority was to find someone who could handle a temperamental kitty with compassion, had experience in administering insulin shots, and would treat Sierra as the princess she is.  Lisa far surpassed my expectations.

After meeting Sierra, Lisa recognized that time and patience were needed to build a trusting relationship with her.  Over the next couple of weeks, she invested time in Sierra and they now have a great rapport.  Lisa is so attentive to Sierra and clearly has a genuine passion for animals.  She leaves detailed notes of her visits, and I can easily recognize Sierra’s behaviors – she loves Lisa.     I have been completely comfortable in taking a vacation, visiting my grandmother, and going on business trips.  I wouldn’t have believed it possible just a few short weeks prior to meeting Lisa.

Lisa’s expertise with diabetic felines has also been helpful in my own care of Sierra.  She has provided useful suggestions and has been supportive in decisions I have made regarding Sierra’s medical treatment.

I realize that Distinctive Petsitting is a business, but Lisa’s hands-on approach brings a personal aspect that is hard to find in today’s society.  I value her opinion and her dedication to her craft, and heartily recommend her services to anyone who loves their animal(s) as much as I adore my Sierra.

Dear Lisa,

I am so sorry that I never got back to you after you sent that sweet letter and pictures of Tux.  Thank you so much for all you did. The pictures you sent make me want to be adopted by you.  Tux really seems to have found Nirvana!
I know he must have a great life.

Roma would be so pleased!
It was such a horrible time for us all.  I know we never thanked everyone enough.  In all that pain we met some pretty wonderful people, like you.

Love,
 Lydia

Lisa,

The service was great . . . it happened during the pet food scare and Phyllis assured me that she checked everything. I didn’t worry about the kitties knowing that they were in the best of hands and care.

They were happy and content when I got home.  It’s nice to have someone I can trust and count on for pet care while I’m away . . . it’s so important!

Please take care . . .  I’m thinking of you.

Deirdre

Hi Lisa, Happy Wednesday to you too!
I can’t thank you enough for taking care of my fuzzy children when we travel.
It’s so much easier not having to worry about them!
Thanks for taking care of everyone while we are out of town.

They love to see you.

Dear Lisa,

It is good to hear that you are continuing your Petsitting endeavors in Georgia and I know that you will make many a person and pet very happy with the excellent care you give!

When it comes to running a Petsitting business no one has impressed me more than you.  You offer the most professional and practical care while never losing sight of the needs of the clients and the animals of course!  Your attention to detail and the thoughtful manner in which you provide your services has had a lasting effect on many here in Northern Virginia and I can only guess that will continue down in the south.  I feel privileged to have had you care for my own pets and lucky to have had the opportunity to work with you.  I would wholeheartedly recommend you to anyone with a need for pet care and feel certain they would not be disappointed!

Sincerely,

Kristi

Hi Lisa,

I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the lunch. That was very thoughtful of you.
Jimmy is doing very well today.  We had a long walk and ran into some people I know from walking.
He had fun meeting them.

Thanks again for all the special care and attention you gave him.
I know you go out of your way for him and I really appreciate that.

We'll be in touch.

Love,
Jimmy and Paula

Lisa,
Integrity and reliability are the most important qualities in a professional petsitter and I truly appreciate how you have consistently demonstrated these traits with me and my clients.  When I have asked you to assist me with my own pet visits, you have been a confident, skilled and trustworthy associate.

Thank you for your care and assistance with the Koi pond cleaning, the household of Mastiffs, the menagerie of rescue cats, rescue dogs and Sunshine, the Parrot.

I have enjoyed working with you as my client, my friend, as a conscientious pet lover and fellow Petsitting business owner.  I know how much you care about pets as demonstrated by your efforts to ease the suffering of unfortunate pets.

I am happy to serve as a reference for you and I look forward to many more positive pet care experiences with you in the future.

Lisa – thought you would get a kick out of these pictures.  Gracie likes to play with the towel you put down. She was dragging it all over the apartment.  She thought she had something big! Thanks for everything! Cindy
